Microsoft Xbox LIVE public preview program closed after 24 hours

Microsoft introduced on Thursday that it’s no more accepting sign ups because of its Xbox LIVE dashboard preview program.

The program giant started accepting nominations on Wednesday via its connect beta testing site. The Xbox LIVE public preview can give beta testers early use of Microsoft’s new Metro style dashboard. Microsoft closed its doorways to new sign ups on Thursday evening, approximately 24 hrs after the organization introduced its preview program. “We are sorry, but at this time around we’re no more accepting sign ups for that Public Preview Program once we have arrived at our audience volume,” reads a note around the company’s connect testing site.

Microsoft’s Ray Hryb (Major Nelson) says you will see additional possibilities to sign up in Xbox LIVE update preview programs later on. “For individuals individuals which have effectively completed registration we are reaching to you after we will be ready to guide you through the following steps,” stated Hryb inside a blog publish on Thursday. Microsoft is anticipated to provide the update to testers over the following two days.

Codenamed “Madrid”, the November dashboard update brings Microsoft’s Metro style interface towards the Xbox 360. Microsoft can also be planning to incorporate YouTube and Bing around the Xbox 360. Bing customers will have the ability to use Kinect’s voice recognition feature to find movies, music along with other content on the consoles. Microsoft can also be likely to include some form of Marketplace with programs for Xbox 360.

The Xbox 360 sold more copies than both Wii and Sony PlayStation 3 in September with 438,000 models.
